About Yoga

What are the benefits of Yoga:

Yoga is a wise and ancient practice that evokes stillness by being in the present moment. It is through the practice of moving mindfully that invites relaxation to enter the physical and energetic body, nurturing your inner-temple and instilling calm into your day. There are so many benefits from practicing yoga, including improved physical strength, balance and flexibility, brighter moods, stress management and better sleep. Gentle movement encourages Prana, ’flow’ or ‘life force’ energy to move freely throughout the body, removing any stagnancy or blockages that may prohibit optimum health and wellbeing. Restorative postures are wonderful for stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system which is responsible for rest and good digestion - ‘the rest and digest’ response. To flow & restore together will create a harmonious balance by giving yourself the space, time and energy to heal.

Meet Mirella

Drawing on her background in singing, Mirella uses her voice as well as a combination of sacred sound instruments to create a nourishing sound healing experience.

Mirella holds a Sound Healing Academy Level 1: Foundation in Integral Sound Healing certificate.

About Sound Healing

What are the benefits of Sound Healing:

Therapeutic sounds have been used for thousands of years as a non-invasive way to trigger the relaxation response to alleviate symptoms of chronic stress, release suppressed emotions associated with trauma from the past and to harmonise and balance the human bio-field (aura) and chakras (energy wheels).

A Special Connection

The beauty of yoga and sound reunited this lovely duo together again!

Music brought Melissa and Mirella into each other’s lives since the early days back when they were little kids. As vocalists, they both attended the same singing school and performed at the same concerts and events up until their teenage years. It was a wonderful surprise when both their paths crossed once again through the gift of yoga. Their reconnection was instant! This reunion blossomed into a beautiful friendship which led them to participate in The May 50K last year, raising vital funds for research into multiple sclerosis with their extraordinary team members - the Wellness Warriors 2021. Joining forces once again, they are so thrilled to be able to present Yoga & Sound in the park. They can't help but feel that they were meant to be in each other’s lives!

How special is that!
